TPCK Article

The article was very helpful in understanding the interrelationship between technological, pedagogical and content knowledge. Without a doubt the three depend on each other and cannot be thought of as separate entities when school curriculum is created. The article explains that technology, pedagogy and content cannot be broken down into concrete, simplified regulations. And it shouldn’t be because knowledge – what we know and how we use information and skills – is a complex process that cannot be fit into a certain framework. “Functional fixedness” toward technology might be a challenge for many but it is certainly a barrier that all should strive to overcome in order to be efficient in today’s world, especially when educating in an urban setting.

  1. I like the photo and quote you inserted, it certainly tells it all. "functional fixedness" is a concept we need to understand.
